The Parish Community Council (herein called “PCC”) of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community is a group of individuals who work together to serve as the guiding body responsible for overseeing that the ministries and activities of the parish follow the stated mission of St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Community. The PCC draws on the gifts of both clergy and laity in sharing responsibility for the growth of the parish’s life, ministries and activities. This process calls for all to work together to continue the mission of Jesus in the world today, each contributing his/her own unique gift for that purpose, in keeping with the principles enunciated in Canon Law.

PCC Responsibilities
- Continue to Pray for Guidance
- Offer shared wisdom to Pastor
- Listen to the “needs and voice” of the Parish Community,individually and collectively
- As MAC representatives
- Ensure goals of Parish aligned with Parish mission
- Demonstrate, develop, and promote leadership and enthusiasm for all matters relating to the needs of the Parish, while modeling stewardship
- Develop Policies and Procedures
- Establish, empower, coordinate, and dissolve task groups
- Committees, ministry groups, and staff
MAC (Ministry Area Council) Responsibilities
- MAC leaders represent the ministry leaders and its members to align projects, annual budget, initiatives and activities with the overall goals and needs of the Parish
- The flow of communication between the PCC and ministries
- Attend meetings (as agreed to with ministry leaders) to foster communication and cooperation
- Suggest and facilitate ways to enhance the collaboration among the ministries
- MAC PCC representatives are responsible to inform the MAC members of the activities, discussions, and actions taken at the meetings to the PCC as appropriate
