St. Germaine Story
Youth who are 10 years or older can participate in our ministries as helpers to adults but must complete safe environment training and paperwork before doing so. Each year that a youth participates in they must complete the code of conduct, release form and training.  The references are needed only once.

Steps to complete (not necessarily in this order)

  • Parents must give permission - Print the parental release form, fill out and fax or bring to parish office
  • Youth must obtain 3 personal references - print 3 copies of the reference form, give the form to three different people that have known the youth volunteer for at least a year. NO RELATIVES Ask the references to fax or send the filled out form to the parish office.
  • Attend training - Youth training is offered before Vacation Bible School and PHAT camp for those participating in these events.  If a youth wants to participate in the Early Childhood Program (ECP) which includes nursery, children's Liturgy of the Word and Toddler Faith Formation contact the Safety Director for the time and place of training.  Camp training will meet the training requirement for ECP as long as it has been taken within the year.
