Father Tuan initated the first Annual Golf Outing held on October 10, 2008 at Ridgeview Ranch Golf Club.  On rather short notice, 67 players enjoyed a delightful round of golf followed by a chicken/burger buffet.  While this was set up as a fun tournament, $980 was raised to support Hurricane Ike victims in the Houston area. 

Since 2008, an annual charity golf outing is held each year usually on the first Friday in October. Approximately 110-120 golfers have participated each year.  In addition, about 40 sponsors and hundreds of donors provide raffle and game prizes.  All of the funds raised go for the St. Gabriel Outreach Ministries programs.  Funds raised by year are:

• 2008-2015 - $99,000

• 2016 - $20,400

• 2017 - $20, 600

TOTAL - $140,000
